After his incredible G1 run I just haven't heard what's going on with him (aside from Tana's backhanded praise in the build for the Kenny vs. Tana match at WK13). At that time it seemed like the Golden Lovers storyline was ongoing, but now it just seems like they stopped telling that particular story altogether. I know the BC civil war fizzled out, but the Golden Lovers seemed at least partially separate from that. I've also heard he isn't under the same kind of contract with NJPW that most of the other Japanese talent is (which has led to talk that he doesn't get pushed as hard for that reason). In addition, he seems to be removed from whatever The Elite are doing too. Is he injured? Can someone please clarify these points for me?
