Joe Koff doesn’t see Cody, Young Bucks in ROH in 2019

There are rumors swirling all around, and there have been for some time, that Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, and the rest of The Elite crew, were going to be doing something new in 2019. That’s when their contracts come up. There was initial talk of all of them possibly signing with WWE but that took a turn when trademarks were filed for “All Elite Wrestling,” among other interesting related terms.

Now, Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff is telling Wrestling Inc he doesn’t see them working for ROH next year:

“I don’t think so, and I don’t think that’s new news either. They definitely have something in mind… and I’m very thankful for Cody and The Young Bucks and Page and their contributions to ROH. They were part of our great year. They’ll always be a part of the ROH family and I’m always excited when people choose to take a different direction or go in a different direction because it’s exciting for them as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.”

He’s right, it has been clear for some time they were going to be doing something different. This, however, makes it sound like that won’t include ROH, which very much is newsworthy.

We’ve still got another month until 2019, so expect this story to start heating up real soon.
