The Champ may have met her Twitter match

In case you couldn’t tell, we’re big fans of SmackDown Women’s champion Becky Lynch around here. That’s meant touting her prowess in the ring, with a microphone, during non/semi-kayfabe interviews and on social media.

But after her latest fire promo on the Oct. 30 episode of the blue brand, we think she might have met her match on Twitter.

The Badlass (who is blocking out some steampunk gear and other looks from her true-blue babyface days) took a shot at sports entertainers who cosplay during a speech which was otherwise directed at her Survivor Series opponent, Raw Women’s champ Ronda Rousey. Alexa Bliss, a former rival known for her pop culture-inspired outfits, took exception to that. And got the kind of online slam we’ve come to expect for The Champ:

Good one, right? Problem is, as the hashtag implies, Bliss has a trump card in any and all dealings with Bex – she won their feud after Lynch became the inaugural SmackDown Women’s champ. And like many of us, Alexa thinks the Lasskicker is likely to meet the same fate as all of Rousey’s WWE opponents to date.

It all leaves The Man delivering a pretty pedestrian, “oh yeah, well shut up” type reply to the Goddess’ return shot:

Maybe my standards for Becky Lynch Twitter-ownage are too high, but I think Alexa more than held her own here.
